Our founder, Paul Graber, first became fascinated with the idea of protecting people from the risk of accidents in the workplace in the 1930s. During the Second World War he founded a commercial firm in Basel. He and his staff soon set about trying to optimise goggles and glasses, which were mainly imported from America. Unico Graber went into production. His son, Beat Alfred Graber, joined the business in 1970. Demand grew for the quality products from Unico Graber; ten years later, the company moved to its present production facility in Hölstein BL. A third generation of Grabers is now joining the family business, with Dominique Graber taking his place in Unico Graber AG. – The fascination remains the same: keeping people safe.
